“Today I am in Venice”. Working in this city was a privilege that allowed me to immerse myself in the beauty of Venetian days, always unique and inimitable. Rain, fog, summer or winter made no difference, quite the opposite. Every condition, by altering the light and contrast, made the perspectives fascinating and revealed details I had never noticed before.
That day, after returning to Piazzale Roma to pick up my car, before leaving I wanted to jot down the words “Red San Zaccaria” in my agenda. I wanted to make sure I remembered that strange palette of colors I had encountered that morning as I stepped off the ferry. Unlike usual, it was dominated by all shades of red, unlike the multifaceted and heterogeneous colors I was accustomed to. Exhibition signs, posters, piles of luggage, protective tarps covering scaffolding made the “Campo” look unique, making the pure white facade of the church stand out even more.
