The Technique

Precise spaces, well delineated with rhythm and harmony, are realised by the author with acrylic colours applied almost always with a spatula superimposed on collages of coloured papers to smooth out contrasts and create suggestions and transparencies. The character of the works, on an emotional level, clearly develops in two easily identifiable directions, both derived from the travel notes contained in the diaries. The first, decidedly iconographic, with references to places many times referred to in the title of the work. The second is totally introspective, linked to the moods of the period and the context recalled.
