Meadow with Buttercups in Malo - Agenda 1991 (Acrylic and paper on canvas, cm 120x100)
“Meadow with Buttercups in Malo – Agenda 1991”, graphic work created in 2023, is perhaps among the compositions with the most harmonious and delicate rhythm and colors

From the first flights, a pilot’s mind begins to change irreversibly. I am referring to the perception of the landscape: in addition to personal sensitivities (colors, lights, perspectives, etc.), other factors come into play, such as the constant estimation of distances related to the view of open spaces. It was this “transformation” that led me that day to stop the car and observe this beautiful meadow I had never noticed before. It was a small valley at the Priabona pass between Malo and Montecchio Maggiore.
After considering various possibilities for intentional or emergency landings within it, the tranquility and beauty of the view took over. Three buttercups with an extraordinary golden yellow hue were near my feet, but upon looking closely between the bright green shades of the meadow, an infinite number of them could be spotted. I had decided: I would represent it in my own way, orderly, not banal or traditional. Outside of a photograph, I was convinced that the results would inevitably be childish and unexciting.
While I was absorbed in these thoughts, a couple of inconvenient phone calls disturbed me, but the idea became clearer, and one day I would tackle the task.
